Your first visit to Medical Associates of Northern New Mexico establishes a vital foundation for our relationship with you. During your first visit, we make sure to obtain important background information about your medical history and give you time to get to know your doctor.<\/p>\n

What To Expect<\/em><\/h4><\/div>

Being well-prepared for your appointment will ensure that the doctor has all necessary information to provide you the best possible care. It also will help relieve any unnecessary anxiety you may be feeling. Educate yourself on your symptoms by reviewing our Patient Education section. Scheduling<\/em><\/h4><\/div>

To schedule an appointment please call 505 661 8900 or 866 563 4340.<\/p>\n

Monday-Friday: 8am – 6pm (last patient at 5:45 pm)<\/p>\n

Saturday & Sunday: Closed<\/p>\n<\/div>

* Important Information: Walk-In-Clinic closing times may fluctuate depending on the number of of patients waiting to be seen. Please advise that additional patients may not be able to sign in if the wait time extends past the clinic closing time. Thank you for your understanding.<\/em><\/p>\n

To ensure that you are scheduled enough time with your physician, please provide the reason for your visit. Physicians may have to schedule a second visit if additional problems are presented at the time of service. Any visits that are scheduled on the same day of the appointment may be considered as an urgent care visit. Please remember to present your insurance information at each visit.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Cancellations<\/em><\/h4><\/div>

Please provide a 24-hour notice if you must cancel your appointment. A $50-$150 fee (fee determined by the length of the missed appointment) may be charged to your account if a 24-hour notice is not received. For further information, please review our cancellation\/no show policy.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Lab Results<\/em><\/h4><\/div>

You will be notified of your lab and test results by patient portal, telephone or mail. Results may not be available for two weeks. If you need to request results, you may send a secure message to our staff to request your results via our patient portal.<\/p>\n

Depending on your insurance, prior authorization may be needed for some tests and\/or prescriptions. Our office will process these for you, though ultimately you are responsible for verifying when your insurance requires these to be done. Some specialists may request that you see your primary care physician before scheduling you.
